Her Story Spotight: Ashlee Campbell

What the best part of being a mom?
The best part of being a mom is getting to truly experience what unconditional love it. It is energy that cannot be measured - it's infinite.

What is the most challenging part of being a mom?
Bar-none, the morning routine. We are perpetually running late, we are always stuck with at least one part of mismatched socks and I never make the damn lunches the night before.

Biggest lesson so far:
If you have entered this phase of your life, with a plan you might a well throw it out the window because life rarely goes to plan. I never in one million years could even fathom being a single mom when I was planning my family and yet, here I am...and I'm ROCKING it.

Current career:
Administrative Assistant for Scott County Area Plan Commission where I have a wonderful mentor. That dynamic we have is a once-in-a-lifetime pairing and I am thankful for my days with her!

Side hustle:
My side hustle has turned into a full-blown, booming business --- and it literally happened overnight. I had no intention to start a business -- let alone one of this volume!

FitFuel Fitness and Nutrition was born in May 2017, basically after a few photos of my fitness meal prep went low-key viral and my phone was blowing up with people who wanted me to do it for them. So, my boyfriend and I teamed up and he put me in contact with a lot of different people and continues to network and market the business, while I'm the one doing most of the prepping and creating the different meals.

I'm also a distributor for Nu Skin and sell their amazing whitening tooth paste on our website and am currently experiencing with Young Living Essential Oils that I plan on using to produce meals infused with essential oils.

What goals do you have in 2018?
We have some pretty big goals including an apparel line of gym tanks, tees and hoodies, shaker cups and cooler bags.

We have a brand new e-commerce platforms, a website and really good relationship with a supplement store in southern Indiana called SupZilla. They are kind enough to allow customers to meet us at their location and pick up their [FitFuel] meals.

On average we do about 150-170 meals/week and I honestly can't imagine doing much more working full time, so at the moment the goal is to just stay consistent in our productivity.

We shut down this past August and December, just to breathe a little and I'm hoping in 2018 we are streamlined enough to keep marching forward month after month.

I'm also looking forward to adding 3 little letters behind my name - Ashlee Campbell, CHN. I am on target to complete my courses by the end of March and I'll be a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and I'm extremely eager to get this wrapped up. [SHE DID THIS BY THE WAY!]

And rockin' it she is ...To connect with Ashlee or learn more about how FitFuel Fitness and Nutrition might be able to help you kick off the year with a healthy start, head on over to their Facebook page FitFuel Fitness and Nutrition, LLC.!
